JAMES RICHARD ROGERS III (Trey)

Associate Pastor of Youth & Children

Trey Rogers, 28, is a native of Hayesville, North Carolina; a small town nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains on the far western tip of the state! He comes from a long line of Baptist ministers (i.e., fourth generation), and felt a calling to the ministry when he was just 14 years old. Upon graduating from Hayesville High School, as Senior Class President, Trey enrolled at Young Harris College in North Georgia, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Religious Studies. Rogers has spent the majority of his time in Student Ministry — most recently, at a church north of Atlanta. Here, they saw over 30 students accept Christ and follow through with baptism; while there, their group expanded from approximately 12 to 85 students; it was a blessed time in the Lord. Trey also sits on the Board of Directors for the Appalachian Children’s Center, which provides immediate support to child victims and their families in North-Central GA. Outside of Student Ministry, Trey’s interests include preaching, playing piano, announcing football games, drinking hot tea and coffee, and spending time with his lovely wife, Julianna, who is a native of the Raleigh area.
