Bible Drills

The Bible Drill Team at RHBC strives to help kids in grades 3rd-6th learn God’s Word!
 
Through learning the 66 Books of the Bible, Ten (10) Key Passages in the Bible, learning key passages and Memorizing 25 Verses in the Bible. The Bible Drill Team and their families are increasing their knowledge of the Bible, developing skills in effectively handling God’s Word, memorizing (in order) the names of the Books of the Bible, memorizing selected verses and key passages, and learning how to apply the Bible to life.
 
The Team Members are required to complete four types of drills:
 
Quotation Drills – 6 calls quoted from memory (Bibles held at side, not used). He/she must be able to quote the verse and give the reference.
 
Completion Drills – 6 calls quoted from memory (Bibles held at side, not used). Part of the verse is read, he/she must be able to quote the entire verse and give the reference.
 
Book Drills – 6 calls (Bible is used). A book is named, he/she finds any page in the book named, places the index finger on the page, gives the name of the book preceding the book named, the name of the book named, and the name of the book following the one named.
 
Key Passage Drills – 6 calls (Bible is used). The key passage is stated (Example: The Twelve Apostles), he/she finds the passage in the Bible, places the index finger on any portion of the passage, states the title of the key passage and the reference, and reads aloud one or more verses from the key passage. Drill Team Members must be able to complete each call of the four drills within 10 seconds.
