Welcome. I am Dr. James E. Horton, Senior pastor of Rocky Hock Baptist Church. I began my ministry here in May of 2004. I am married to Gloria Bartholomew Horton and we’ve enjoyed 33 wonderful years together as of this past February 19th. We have two children; Eric James who is married to Natalie and Jessica Leigh Macon Horton who is married to Captain Clay Thompson. Eric, Jessica, and Natalie work with the computer firm SAS in Cary North Carolina. Our son-in-law Clay is a pilot in the U.S. Marine Corps. I am blessed with two granddaughters, Ella Grace Horton and Anna Mae Horton. They belong to Eric and Natalie.

 I was born in Franklin County North Carolina. My parents are George and Eunice Horton. My father is deceased while my mother continues to live in Louisburg, North Carolina. I married Gloria Bartholomew February 19, 1974. Our two children and their spouses make their homes in Raleigh, North Carolina.
