Prayer Ministry

Here at Rocky Hock Baptist Church prayer is an essential part of ministry. Over the past four years this emphasis has grown beyond the very important prayer chain utilized when a member or acquaintance is in need of immediate prayer and time is of the essence. We now look forward to the New Year with an annual New Year’s Eve service where a prayer theme and verse is introduced that serves as a catalyst to encourage members to spend more time in fervent prayer.

An Intentional Prayer Team has been formed that pray twice daily for specific concerns within the church, state and country. A National Day of Prayer Service is conducted to coincide with the national observance where we as members of RHBC come together to pray for our nation and its leaders. At 9:15 on Sunday mornings we meet together in the sanctuary to pray specifically for Sunday School, Morning Worship, the Evening Service, and any other activity that may be taking place on campus that day. The most recent addition has been The House of Prayer service held every Tuesday night at 6:30. This is based on Mark 11:17 where the Lord tells us “My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer….”. We use this time to pray specifically for Spiritual Awakening and Revival within our church and community. All of this is in addition to the normal Sunday and Wednesday night corporate prayer times. We invite you to come and join us as we “Build our relationship on the Rock”.
